ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Early Life
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1995, Landon Marley grew up in a family of educators and small business owners who instilled in him the value of hard work and creative problem-solving. From a young age, Landon was fascinated by technology, spending his childhood tinkering with electronics, building simple circuits, and even selling refurbished gadgets to neighbors to earn extra pocket money. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through in lemonade stands and makeshift tech repair services for friends and family.
In 2003, Landon’s family remained in Delaware, where he continued his education, diving deeper into STEM subjects and teaching himself coding and hardware basics in his spare time.
Tech Passion + Entrepreneurship
Landon’s love for technology grew in 2009 when he and his older brother began experimenting with custom-built drones and smart home devices, selling their creations at local Delaware tech fairs and farmers' markets. Inspired by his brother’s knack for engineering, Landon honed his skills in product design and innovation, always driven by a desire to make technology accessible and exciting.
In 2013, Landon’s high school senior project—a modular, customizable smart gadget prototype—earned recognition at a regional tech expo, solidifying his dream of building a tech-focused business. He pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Delaware, and during his final semester in 2018, Tech Tide was born.
Starting Tech Tide
During a college internship at a tech startup, Landon saw an opportunity to create a brand that combined cutting-edge gadgets with affordability and style. With a small budget and a big vision, he launched Tech Tide from his dorm room, building a website, curating the first product lineup, and growing a following on social media. Within weeks, the first sales rolled in, fueled by Landon’s knack for spotting innovative tech trends.
After graduating in 2019, Landon chose to forgo traditional career paths to focus on Tech Tide full-time, believing his energy was best spent building a brand that empowers people through technology. Today, as CEO and Lead Curator, Landon continues to drive Tech Tide’s mission to deliver innovative, reliable, and stylish tech solutions.

Every item is carefully selected or designed in-house at our Delaware headquarters, ensuring top-tier quality and functionality. What began on Landon’s desk has grown into a thriving brand, staying true to its roots of blending creativity with cutting-edge technology.
